The Limpopo Economic Development Agency (Leda) Charity Golf Day which was held at the Polokwane Golf Club on Friday managed to raise over R200 000 which will be utilised to boost a project set to benefit residents in the Vhembe district.
According to golf day project manager Leo Gama, they are still going to identify a project in the deep rural of Vhembe.
He said the challenge was a success and over 40 golfers participated while sponsors also came out in numbers to support to add to their success.
The men’s challenge was won by Jacob Phala with 44 points while Kentse Makgai took the lead in the women’s division after accumulating 36 points.
The duo received leaders’ trophies and reputable brand drivers worth R3 000.
