Tens of superbike racing enthusiasts gathered at the local track on the Silicon road to participate in the national event of the Superbike Magazine Short Circuit Racing Series on the weekend.
Racers from across the country competed in classes such as newcomers, masters and grandmasters, SuperMoto 1, 1X and 2, ladies 250 Cup, SS300/150 Cup, NSF100, SM junior, MiniMoto and MiniMoto novices.
Local MiniMoto rider and Grade 1 learner of Pietersburg Laerskool, Jayden Ferreira won overall second place in the MiniMoto novice class. Jayden is only participating competitively for the second year and is already ranked third nationally in this class. The overall results were not available at the time of going to print.
