Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) employees affiliated to the National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) are calling for the removal of their Chief Executive Officer, Nomasonto Ndlovu during picket action at their offices today (Friday).
Ndlovu is being accused of not championing their interests and unwillingness to give in to a wage increase demand of 9% while the agency is offering 6%.
Picketing staff indicated that Ndlovu has become a stumbling block in their wage increase negotiations which started in May this year.
Ndlovu joined the agency in November last year following the departure of Ndumiso Matlala in April 2017.
LTA spokesperson Mike Tauatsoala said the management was committed to assist the employees and also emphasised that the wage negotiations were not the responsibility of the CEO alone but that of management as a whole.
