Big smiles, determination and even a few tears were seen when Little Blessings Pre-school hosted a successful pre-school athletics event for all the city’s pre-schools at the rugby field of Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naude on Saturday.
The day started with a scripture reading and prayer followed by a parade onto the field by athletes and a pom-pom girl performance.
Toddlers from 0 to 6 years old could participate. While the 0 tot 2 year old toddlers engaged in crawling and pram races while the older ones took part in sprinting, hurdles, sack racing and shot put.
Participating schools included Little Blessings, Nirvana Pre-school, Paradise Pre-school, Junior Academy and Northview Christian Academy.
