Bwasa Businesswomen of the Year finalists announced

Sixteen exceptional women have been selected as the finalists in the annual Limpopo Businesswomen of the Year competition of the Limpopo branch of the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa (Bwasa). The gala function will be hosted at Sun Meropa on 8 August.
Awards will be made to winners in the Emerging Entrepreneur, Established Entrepreneur, Corporate, Professional, Youth Entrepreneur and Social Entrepreneur categories.
Lerato Sekgobela and Livhuwani Nenzhelele are the finalists in the Youth Entrepreneur section, Prenisha Rajdev and Connie Morgets in the Corporate section and Joanah Ngoasheng and Sandra Jansen van Rensburg in the Social Entrepreneur section.
In the Professional section, the finalists are Ellen Moila, Samba de Oliviera, Molatelo Mashabane and Matshidiso Kanjere, while Sheena Stander, Mpho Ndou and Katryn Celliers will compete in the Established Entrepreneur section. Cate Oliphant, Kgadi Mushi and Cynthia Ndou are the finalists in the Emerging Entrepreneur section.
Renowned businesswoman, co-founder, chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of the Motsepe Foundation and also founder and chairperson of Africa Fashion International, Precious Moloi-Motsepe, will be the guest speaker. This year’s theme is ‘The Economy is a Woman’.
Mmabogoshi Msiza, Chairperson of Bwasa Limpopo, says that the selection of the finalists was a challenging exercise and that she is looking forward to the event. “The purpose of the awards is to give recognition to women who are in service to society, have been working hard and have succeeded in making their mark in their respective fields of expertise.”
The event will start at 17:30 and doors will close at 18:30. Tickets cost R350 for members and R400 for non-members and should be booked at 078 030 4559 or Limpopo@bwasa.co.za.
