The Mitchell House Parents Association (PA) hosted their annual Junior Phase event themed Movie Night on the school field on Friday.
It was a night of family fun under the stars, with food and beverage stalls managed by the association. Glow-in-the-dark accessories lit up the night as they screened the animated movie ‘Boss Baby’.
According to Achsah Phoshoko, Director of Marketing at the school, the PA organises projects to raise funds for the school throughout the year and for each phase.
“The movie night was their project for the first term and it was a huge success. We had 600 people on the night, including parents and learners from Grade 000 to Grade 5. All the proceeds will go towards the Junior Phase block. Everyone enjoyed the movie night.” Phoshoko said.
PA member Cadnus Chikonde said besides raising funds for the school this was also a chance to relax and enjoy time with their children, educators and fellow parents.
