Success for Gymstars

Local gymnastics club Gymstars successfully participated in three recent competitions during which several of its members attained overall podium positions. Local gymnastics club Gymstars successfully participated in three recent competitions during which several of its members attained overall podium positions.
During the Limpopo Tumbling Championships for level 1 to 7 gymnasts Lumicke Groenewald (silver), Dederé Venter (gold), Anju Blackie (silver), Dante Schnell (gold), Johan Venter (silver), Zoe Galloway (silver), Andru de Beer (gold), Durandt Boshoff (gold), Ronin Lawrence (bronze) and Wihan Logtenberg (gold) achieved medals in their respective categories.
During the Limpopo Rhythmic Championships gold as won by Carmen Braack, Karla Vorster, Megan Bekker, Micaela Wood, Lize van Ryneveld, Anika Myburgh an Chanté Serfontein. Kgansi Mohlala got bronze and Allene Albertyn a fourth place at the same meeting.
The artistic boys, Andru de Beer, Ronin Lawrence, JC Logtenberg and Wihan Logtenberg received one gold, two silver and a bronze medal.
“These achievements resulted in the biggest Gymstars team ever to proceed to the South African Gym Games to be hosted in Gauteng next month. Gymnasts is now preparing for the championships by intense rehearsal of routines,” Head Coach Lelanie Logtenberg said.
