Provincial Police Corporate Communications Head, Motlafela Mojapelo indicated that people gathered in their masses next to an establishment in Thohoyandou to embark on a planned march to the Vhembe District Municipality’s offices in protest over poor service delivery. Mojapelo said community members were transported by bus from Vuwani to Thohoyandou.
Pops is monitoring the situation and Mojapelo has called on participants to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner and to desist from resorting to violence. He added that both areas in Vuwani and Thohoyandou were reported to be peaceful.
