DA Parliamentarians focus on rural safety during Lim visit

The crucial issue of rural safety is but one of the factors focused on by Democratic Alliance (DA) leaders who are prioritising community interaction during a Limpopo visit that commenced on Tuesday.
In an interview conducted in Polokwane last night (Wednesday) DA Shadow Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Annette Steyn reflected on the visit. She touched on the topic of rural safety discussed during, among others, a meeting with residents of Haenertsburg the previous evening. The meeting came in the wake of an increase in violent crime in the village and surrounds in the recent past.
Steyn and DA Shadow Deputy Minister of Social Development, Lindy Wilson are being accompanied by DA Provincial Leader Jacques Smalle.
