Manhunt for farm attack suspects

Police have launched a manhunt for suspects responsible for an attack on an elderly couple on Cheerio Farm in the Haenertsburg area late last night (Wednesday), resulting in the death of the one victim.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that an unknown number of suspects allegedly broke into the couple’s house and attacked them by reportedly beating them with unknown objects.
The suspects allegedly robbed some firearms before fleeing.
The two victims have sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital where the man later died due to his injuries, Ngoepe said.

The names are being withheld as all the next of kin had not been informed, according to Ngoepe.
