Representatives of Mall of the North management, Clicks Mall of the North and the Polokwane Tourism Association (PTA) recently paid a surprise visit to Aretha Home where they handed out beautiful toiletry bags filled with bathroom necessities and pampering products.
The handover was part of the Explorer Race that the PTA and Polokwane Municipality successfully hosted recently. Businesses were asked to make donations that could be handed out to those in need to show that every resident of the city was an integral part of the tourism identity of Polokwane.
After the race about 60 loaves of bread, 20 muffins and 20 cupcakes were donated to children at Samaritan House and residents of Polokwane Hulpsentrum vir Volwasse Verstandelik Gestremdes.
Mall of the North management and Clicks Mall of the North collaborated on this effort and chose Aretha Home as their beneficiary.
Mari Delport, Marketing Manager for Mall of the North said the toiletries and other gifts were identified by Aretha Home management as a need.
“We decided to do our share to help the residents with the necessary bathroom products and included a few items to spoil them a little. I want to thank Clicks Mall of the North for their selfless response to our request for help,” she said.
The residents of Aretha Home were all very impressed with their practical and beautiful bags, pink detail for the women and a more manly khaki and denim bags for the men.
