This year local artists will have the opportunity to show off their talent on home soil when the first ever Limpopo Eisteddfod takes place in Polokwane from 26 to 30 July.
The arts festival, with media sponsor Polokwane Observer, is open to all artists who want to compete in the orators, drama, art and photography, instrumental and vocal categories.
Entry forms can be downloaded from the website, www. limpopo-eisteddfod.co.za or obtained at participating schools. Schools who still want to participate are welcome to contact the committee by sending an email to admin@limpopo-eisteddfod.co.za. There are also detailed instructions on how to complete the entries correctly on the website. Only electronic submissions of entries, done in the prescribed format, will be accepted. All information should be given fully and correctly, to ensure correct spellings of names on certificates.
The closing date for all entries is 15 June, except for art and photography entries which have to be submitted before 30 June. Entry fees are specified for each section separately.
