Premier golf event this weekend

Saturday will see companies and government unite through golf with one aim in mind – the charitable support of the Limpopo Premier’s Bursary Trust Fund.
The Limpopo Premier Annual Charity Golf Day is to take place at one of the Limpopo’s five star golfing attractions, the Legends Golf and Safari Resort.
The golf day is aimed at providing an opportunity for the Premier, Stan Mathabatha, to interact with various stakeholders from both the private and public sectors whilst positioning the province as a preferred investment destination. The proceeds generated from the event will be transferred to the Limpopo Premier’s Bursary Trust Fund and used for affording Limpopo students from poor socio-economic backgrounds the opportunities to study at institutions of higher learning. The financial support to the academically deserving and financially needy students will assist in breaking the cycle of poverty, unemployment and inequality and at the same time broadening the skills base of the province and the nation in general.
A full field of 132 golfers representing 22 companies and departments of the Limpopo Province have pledged their support and commitment to raising funds for this worthy cause. The golf course is expected to be in superb condition for this year’s event and will no doubt prove a challenging test for amateur golfers of every level.
Volkswagen South Africa, a key supporter of this event will be hosting a 4×4 driving experience for the non-golfing supporters of this initiative. Once the activities are concluded golfers and the like will join the Premier in an evening that promises fun, entertainment and making a difference to education.
