Limpopo teams ready for softball championships

Limpopo Softball Association (LSA) on Tuesday announced the men’s and women’s teams that will represent the province during the National Senior Softball Championships scheduled to be contested at Polokwane Cricket Grounds from 17 to 20 March. The teams are mostly made up of players from clubs affiliated to Limpopo Softball Association.
Benny Boshomane, an executive member of the association said they were happy with the teams selected and are adamant that they will do the province proud in the championships. “Both teams are tried and tested. Most of the players have represented the country in different age categories and we believe they will bring that experience to the competition.”
He also added that the captains of the two teams will be elected on the last camp to be held in Polokwane this weekend.
The teams are:
Men: Tidima Kekana, Nakedi Mohlake, Matleng Phasha, Tebogo Mapheto, Koketso Kekana (all Moletlane Texas Softball Club), Solly Baholo, Mpho Mahapa, John Nkgapele, Pule Madiseng (all Seshego Raiders Softball Club), Didi Mosima, Clement Choeu, Sello Molokoane (all Mahwelereng Spikes Softball Club), Adolf Laka, Nkomori Chepape, Mandla Motswinyane, Kamogelo Mokolobane (all Lebowakgomo Wildbeast Softball Club), Phomolo Phaladi, Nkgodiseng Motsoenegane, Mohale Manamela (all Mankweng Pioneers Softball Club), Kwena Nkune (Club unattached) and Clement Mogale (Motlolo Softball Club).
Women:
Innocent Mapoga, Rejoice Mmatli, Honey Kekana, Harvey Kekana, Maggie Mutavhazindi, Dipuo Rafapa (all Mahwelereng Spikes Softball Club), Ruth Mahlako, Emma Magwete, Malebo Pudikabekwa, Charlotte Sambo (all University of Limpopo Softball Club), Tebogo Thobakgale (Botlokwa Angels Softball Club), Tshidi Kgoadi (Moletlane Texas Softball Club), Mmathapelo Komape (Lebowakgomo Wild Beast Softball Club), Lerato Mphela (Leeufontein Softball Club), Perunia Kgohlwane (Mabins Softball Club) and Rachel Matsemela (Naledi Spiders Softball Club).
