The South African Police Service (SAPS) Disciplinary Committee is expected to hand down verdict on suspended Limpopo Head of the Directorate of Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks), Dibero Molatjana tomorrow (Friday).
Hawks Spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi informed that Molatjana was given the opportunity to argue the cases of fraud against her last Wednesday and that the verdict was expected to be handed down within seven working days.
“The committee is expected to give verdict tomorrow. The case in front of the committee runs parallel with a criminal case in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Court, but the date of her next appearance could not yet be established. I will confirm the date with our legal department later,” Mulaudzi said.
Earlier this year Molatjana was suspended pending investigations on several allegations of fraud. The disciplinary committee found her guilty on two charges of fraud about two weeks ago.
“She was found guilty for requesting her secretary to register her sister as a dependent on a medical aid scheme as well as instructing her subordinates to use service vehicles to transport her son on several occasions from Polokwane to Pretoria where he was studying,” Mulaudzi said.
