Mitchell House’s Grade 12 learners were treated to a pre-record exam breakfast last Friday ahead of the start of their record exam on Monday.
The schools learners, educators and members of the School Governing Body gathered early and were addressed by Andrew Cook, principal of the school.
Cook complimented the Grade 12s on their behaviour and performance and said they had made a unique contribution to the school that will put Mitchell House on the map.
“You have given me such great pleasure and I am extremely proud of you. Despite anything we will always be here for you and I have confidence that you will give us the results Mitchell House has been looking for this past year,” Cook said.
The Grade 12s said that they were ready for the exams and believed that they would get good marks. College Head boy, Ngwako Moloto said that they are well prepared because their June exams had been postponed till a few weeks ago so that they could be fully prepared for their record exams. Cook in his speech quoted Mahatma Ghandhi: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”.
