Local police officers continue drug busts

Polokwane Observer witnessed a drug bust at the taxi rank at Savannah Mall on July 12.

POLOKWANE – Local police officers including Col Andre Kotzé of Polokwane and Col Matidi Rameetse, the acting station commander of Seshego police say police officers continue to pounce on druglords in and around the city.

It is not clear yet what led the police to the taxi rank but when they got there they started searching the surroundings.

Police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed the incident and said officers were on routine patrols around the city and in the Seshego area.

“The officers confiscated dagga that was hidden in the area, some of which was found inside mageu containers. No one has been arrested.” Mojapelo says the investigation continues.
