Baroka FC signs six new players

Baroka FC together with their technical sponsor, Monflair has revealed their 2021/22 official jersey and their new signings.

POLOKWANE – Bakgakga ba Mphahlele unveiled six new players that are going to tighten the squad for the new season.

According to Baroka FC chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele, the team need to beef up based on what the team has been lacking. “These players are the players the team needed. The players are quite young and we also want to make sure that the team have enough players to secure the PSL status.

“These are the players who are going to add value to Bakgakga ba Mphahlele and if you look at the previous season we did not have enough left wingers. We have managed to sign two left wingers who are basically going to play as the left and striker as well,” said Mphahlele.

He said there are players that the team have parted ways with. “About six players will not be part of Baroka FC this season since their contracts have come to an end. All the players who were playing for Baroka FC will come back. We are not selling any players. We are building a strong team now,” he said.

Baroka FC head coach, Thoka Matsimela said it is a very good signing for the team. “We expect good performances from the men and we took the right decision to sign them. This season we did not score a lot of goals. I think Akani Chauke coming to Baroka FC will help us a lot. According to me the team has to have more attacking players so that we are able to score more goals,” said Thoka.

The new players to join Bakgakga ba Mphahlele are Sydney Malivha from Marumo DStv Diski Challenge, Train Mokabi from JDR, Akani Chauke from TS Sporting, Seleka Sithole from Cape Umoya, Bennet Bobete and Tshegofatso Bosega both from Baroka FC DStv Diski Challenge.
