Lady T’s voice is tuned for success

Lady T has a distinct voice that is recognised in the media and music industry.

LIMPOPO – Turn the dial to 89,1 FM and listen to the voice of Ngovhela village-born Tendani ‘Lady T’ Mushasha.

Lady T as she is affectionately known, is the producer and host of Vhembe FM’s current affairs show, Ndilo Muthathe.

The show is broadcasted on weekdays from 13:00 to 15:00 and focuses on careers and businesses.

She encourages young people to keep themselves up-to-date with current affairs, so that they do not remain ignorant in a society where knowledge plays such an essential role. “Ignorance is no excuse. Youths need to take full responsibility for their own lives, or else they will live unfulfilled lives,” she added.

Lady T is also the host of Ndendedzi na Zwidade, every Saturday from 09:00 until 11:00.

The talented Lady T has experience as a radio presenter, newsreader and producer.

“I worked for Voice of Tembisa FM, Makhado FM and Univen FM before I joined Vhembe FM in August 2020,” she added.

Lady T has a qualification in broadcasting and journalism, which she obtained at SA College, as well as certificates in public administration and public management from IQ Academy.

Apart from radio, Lady T works as a communications officer for the Department of Communications.

Her capabilities do not stop there. She has a distinct voice and has released songs such as Zwi do ni balela, Lufuno, U dochi dochi, and Vhabebi.

“I am currently working on a Gospel song, which will be released soon,” she said.

The highlights of her career include being shortlisted at the MTN Radio Awards in the category for best newsreader in 2013, as well as a nomination for best traditional music DJ at the South African Traditional Music Awards in the same year.
