20-year-old missing woman found

The 20-year-old was residing in Bendor and was last seen at a local hospital on Saturday, June 19.

POLOKWANE – 20-year-old Lydia Makataka Mochitele who was reported missing on Sunday, June 20 has been found.

Mochitele went missing from the Polokwane/Pietersburg Provincial Hospital over the weekend. Police constable Maphure Manamela confirmed on Monday morning to Review that she was located yesterday evening.

No further details are available as yet.


POLOKWANE – The police are searching for a missing person identified as 20-year-old Lydia Makataka Mochitele.

Mochitele was residing at a residence in Bendor and was reportedly last seen at Polokwane/Pietersburg Provincial Hospital on Saturday, June 19.

According to police constable Maphure Manamela the missing woman is reportedly mentally disabled and was admitted for medical examination at the said hospital.

“Today (Sunday, June 20)  medical personnel discovered that the victim was not in her ward. Security guards searched for her on the premises but were not able to locate her.”

Police were notified and have commenced with an investigation and search operations.

Mochitele was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit and a grey nightgown and the police urges anyone who knows of here whereabouts to contact WO Peter Mangakeng on 0827289831. Alternatively they can contact the 24-hour crime stop number on 0860010111 or their nearest police station.
