POLOKWANE – Ntiyiso who is the author of the book titled ‘Life’s Journey’ published in 2019 competed against 40 hopefuls from various schools in the country.
Bernice Shongoane, head of administration at the school said although Ntiyiso did not bring home the crown, she had the opportunity to represent her brand and her school at the pageant. “She did well and it was a valuable experience for her. She is still young and she will become a top model in the near future. We wish her all the best.”
Ntiyiso said her plan was to use the pageant as a platform to raise awareness about mental health. “I spoke about it on stage during the interview segment. I chose mental health as a topic because everything starts within the mind and if you cannot control it, the mind does not become a creation of good, instead it becomes a destructive force.”
She is set to publish her second book later this year and take part in more pageants.
