[WATCH] Youngsters embrace differences

PEPPS early childhood development learners celebrated Elmer's Day in honour of acceptance and embracing each other's differences.

POLOKWANE – This was done on Friday, 21 May when learners put on elephant ears which were a significant part of the celebration because the occasion was in commemoration of Elmer, the patchwork elephant.

Elmer is a multi-coloured elephant who lives happily among a grey herd, and after he tries and fails to hide his true self, he learns that his friends love him for his uniqueness. Elmer opens up the minds of children to explore cultural diversity.
