[WATCH] CDM’s songbird wows attendees at award ceremony
Limpopo learner, Khomotso 'Little Brenda Fassie' Modiba was adopted by the Office of the Executive Mayor of the Capricorn District Municipality (CDM). They assist her in her schooling and music.
POLOKWANE – Local learner, Khomotso ‘Little Brenda Fassie’ Modiba is not only a dedicated learner but also talented singer. She demonstrated this talent at the Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) Mayoral Outreach Educational Awards Ceremony which was hosted at the Uhuru Lifestyle Emporium on Friday, 12 March.
Modiba was adopted by the Office of the Executive Mayor in 2020. The municipality supplies her with all her schooling needs and today awarded her with a laptop and sponsored hamper from First National Bank.
“As much as the municipality is proud of her talent, her education should also be encouraged and supported,” said Mayor John Mpe before he asked her to entertain the attendees with one more song.
Makgetsu Modiba, mother of Khomotso, told Review that her daughter has been singing since she was five-years-old. “We are very proud of her and thankful to the municipality for their continued support and assistance. She has been gifted all her school requirements, we were not even aware that she would get a laptop too.”
