Moletjie businessman murdered: Wife and boyfriend remanded in custody
The 43-year-old businessman was stabbed to death during an apparent armed robbery in April 2020. His wife and her boyfriend were arrested six months later.
LIMPOPO – The two accused in the murder of a well-known Moletjie businessman, appeared in court last week and were once again remanded in custody.
The 38-year-old wife of the deceased and her 27-year-old boyfriend face charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder, perjury, defeating the ends of justice and Contravention of National Disaster Act (curfew) and apepared in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 19 March.
Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the duo were remanded in custody until 25 March for further bail hearing and police investigations.

LIMPOPO – The two accused in the murder of a well-known Moletjie businessman, appeared in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 10 February.
Wife of the deceased (38) and 27-year-old accomplice appeared on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder, perjury, defeating the ends of justice and Contravention of National Disaster Act and their case was postponed to 26 February for further police investigation, says Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
The deceased, 43-year-old Archibald Manaka was attacked and stabbed several times at his home in Moletjie, Ga-Makweya, in an apparent house robbery on 8 April. At the time his wife told police that three unknown suspects forcefully entered the house, attacked her husband and took money as well as a laptop, before they fled the scene.

Police investigations ensued and his wife, her alleged boyfriend and another accomplice, a 30-year-old man were arrested in Namakgale, outside Phalaborwa, and in Moletjie on Wednesday, 18 November.
The third accused was later released after he was not linked to the case.
