Limpopo records 11 new Covid-19 deaths
As of 12 January the number of Covid-19 deaths stand at 688. Here is breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality.
LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Department of Health’s latest statistics, the number of cumulative cases is 38 789, of which 91 53 are active cases.
Of the 38 789 patients, 28 948 people have recovered and 688 have passed away.
A total of 1 681 cases of Covid-19 was recorded in the last 24 hours of which the majority were reported in the Mopani district (547). The Capricorn district followed with 511 cases and Vhembe with 286 new cases. Sekhukhune recorded a total of 183 new cases and Waterberg district 148 cases.
As of 12 January a total of 166 313 tests have bee conducted, 62 372 in the public sector and 103 941 in the private sector.
