Limpopo records 1 628 new Covid-19 cases in last 48-hours
The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the province is 26 617.
LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Health Department’s latest statistics of Covid-19, the province recorded 735 new cases in the last 24 hours. Four of the cases are in transit cases.
The amount is less than yesterday’s 893 cases, of which 339 were recorded in the Capricorn district, 242 in Vhembe, 152 in Waterberg, 101 in Mopani and 51 in Sekhukhune. Four cases were in transit cases.
As of 3 January, the cumulative number of cases of Covi-19 in the province is 26 617. Of these, 21 842 people have recovered while 615 have passed away.
In the last 24 hours; Capricorn district had the most new cases (282), followed by Vhembe (186), Waterberg (120), Mopani (91) and Sekhukhune (52).
The most new cases were recorded in Polokwane (236) followed by Thulamela (120) and Modimolle-Mookgophong (64).
The department said there are currently 4 160 active cases in the province.
