Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases stand at 20 274

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 135 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Health Department’s Covid-19 statistics of 21 December, the number of cumulative cases is 20 274, while the number of active cases climbed to 1 050. Thus far, 530 deaths have been recorded.

Of the 135 new cases the majority were recorded in the Capricorn district (62);  Polokwane recorded the majority (54), Lepelle Nkumpi (6), and Molemole (2).

The Waterberg district followed suit and recorded 32 new cases; Thabazimbi (20), Modimolle-Mookgophong (6),  Bela-Bela (4) and one each in Mogalakwena and Lephalale.

The Mopani district recorded 18 new cases; Tzaneen (11), Giyani (5) and one each in Ba-Phalaborwa and Letaba municipalities, respectively.

A total of 12 new cases were reported in the Sekhukhune district; Elias Motsoaledi (4), Fetakgomo/Tubatse (4) and two each in Ephraim Mogale and Makhuduthmaga.

The Vhembe district recorded 11 new cases; of which 4 cases were reported in Collins Chabane, Thulamela (3) and two each in Makhado and Musina. Three of the cases are in transit.
