Polokwane’s own agricultural innovator develops app to order livestock and fresh produce

Ronica Maluleke Ngasama says her app, Agriazo Poultry, lets people buy their healthy foods, meat and farm fresh eggs from their comfort of their own homes.

POLOKWANE – The 21-year-old Ronica Maluleke Ngasama describes herself as an agricultural innovator after developing an app that allows you to buy livestock and fresh produce at the tip of your fingers.

Her app, Agriazo Poultry, was developed in the midst of the pandemic as Ronica noticed that people still feared going out to stores to buy food and necessities. “I wanted to create an easy way for people to get their healthy foods, meat and farm fresh eggs from their comfort of their own homes,” she said.

Ronica told BONUS that she studied a brand ambassador course at Boston City Campus in order to equip herself for any business area that would require her to represent it, the same way Agriazo Poultry Farm operates.

“Agriazo Poultry Farm enables people to order livestock, meat and healthy food from their homes. The time has come where people don’t have to go to villages to get a cow. We make sure that we deliver livestock such as cows, goats, sheep or chickens to your doorstep through the preference chosen. If you prefer us to slaughter the animal for you, package and deliver it, we will gladly do it,” she said.

The app is available on the Google Playstore and requires you to register, log in and order. Ronica says the app is user-friendly, making it easy for those who find technology challenging to place orders.

According to Ronica, the app is the first South African agricultural food delivery app invented by a young black woman.

“I would advise those with their own products or projects, to leave it in God’s hands. It will come to pass when the time is right,” she said.
