Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases at 18 742

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 45 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO – The province’s number of cumulative cases of Covid-19 is at 18 742, of which 512 deaths have thus far been recorded.

The Limpopo Health Department’s latest statistics indicate that 45 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

The most new cases were recorded in the Capricorn district (16), while Vhembe had 14, Waterberg had 10, Mopani had three and Sekhukhune had two.

Thus far, 512 people have passed away due to Covid-19 related complications and 17 890 people have recovered. The number of active cases is at 340.

A total of 121 048 tests have been conducted to date, with the majority done by the private sector (72 827). The public sector has conducted the other 48 221 tests, of which 6 449 were positive.
