Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases stand at 18 308

The most new cases were recorded in Polokwane.

LIMPOPO – According to the latest statistics issued by the Department of Health, the province currently has 238 active cases of Covid-19. The province recorded 45 new cases in the last 24 hours and the cumulative number of cases is 18 308.

Of these cases, 17 579 people have recovered from the virus while 491 people have died.

The most new cases were recorded in the Vhembe district (8) followed by Mopani (6), Capricorn (5) and three cases each in Sekhukhune and Waterberg.

Polokwane had the most new cases (5), followed by Makhado with four new cases.

A total of 121 169 tests have been conducted, of which 56 311 were done by the public sector and 64 858 were done by the private sector.
