Lepelle Northern Water to fix leak and replace valve, faulty meter

Water supply to the city and surrounds have been stopped as a result.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, has notified water consumers that the Ebenezer Plant has stopped pumping.

“The Ebenezer Plant has been stopped due to a pipeline leak at Makgeng. Water supply had to be stopped for Lepelle Northern Water to fix the line,” Selala said in a statement.

He explained that Lepelle will also replace a valve at the plant as well as a faulty flow meter in Mankweng.

“All areas of supply from Segwashi to the city and Seshego are affected. Supply shall be restored once LNW has completed the repairs within an estimated five hours. Areas receiving supply are urged to use water sparingly,” he added.

Selala urged users to report water related challenges, such as leaks and wastage, to the Municipal Water and Sanitation Call Centre at 015 023 5376 / 5629.
