2 Emergency Services personnel tied up during robbery in Polokwane

The duo’s hands and legs were tied up while the six suspects ransacked the premises.

POLOKWANE – Police in Polokwane are appealing to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of six suspects involved in an armed robbery to come forward.

Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says in the early hours of this morning, two employees at an emergency services office in the city, heard a knock while on duty.

“They opened the door to investigate and a suspect, armed with a firearm emerged and ordered the duo to lie down.”

Another five men entered the building and tied up both hands and legs of the employees. They proceeded to ransack the premises and took three power generators, two cellphones, a two-way radio, a computer hard drive and a wedding ring of one of the victims,” he said.

“A massive manhunt has since been launched. Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects involved in this matter are urged to contact Det Serg Johannes Ngoepe at 082 685 9507, Col Linkie Mathebula at 064 756 8218, the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or on the MySAPS App,” Ngoepe concluded.
