The arrests were made yesterday by police members in Northam outside Bela-Bela. Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe said in a statement that the arrests follow after police received a tip-off from community members.

“The police received valuable information about the suspects, who were driving in a white sedan, and reacted swiftly,” he explained.

Ngoepe said the men were spotted and their vehicle was pulled off the road and searched. “The pangolin was found inside and the four occupants were apprehended,” he added.
