Health dept warns of email scam in MEC Ramathuba’s name
The scammer uses the MEC's email account to solicit financial favours.
LIMPOPO – The modus operandi, according to the Spokesperson of the MEC of Health, Thilivhali Muavha is to solicit financial favours in the name of MEC Phophi Ramathuba.
“The scammer uses the MEC’s email account and claims that the MEC is experiencing challenges with her bank account and requests financial assistance.”
This is not the first time that scammers have solicited money using the MEC’s name and Muavha, on behalf of the MEC, requests anyone who has been contacted by the imposter to ignore the request.

“Ramathuba appeals to everyone to be vigilant whenever money is asked using her name and to report such criminal acts to the nearest police station.”
Muavha added that department will do everything humanly possible to unmask this shameless fraudster.
