‘Bring back the death penalty’ – Twitter reacts to the murder of Limpopo teenager Kagiso Kale

South Africans are calling for decisive action to be taken by the government to stop the scourge of GBV in the country.

LIMPOPO – Twitter users have taken to the platform to express their dismay following the brutal murder of 17-year-old Kagiso Ramokone Kale. The Gr 12 learner was stabbed to death in a village outside Mokopane on Wednesday evening.

In tweets South Africans are asking for Gender-based-Violence to come to an end and for the President, Cyril Ramaphosa, to act before it is to late. Some users have even gone as far as to ask that the death penalty is brought back for those found guilty of crimes against women and children.

A 19-year-old man was arrested two hours of the attack. He is expected to appear in the Mokerong Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of murder.
