552 active cases of Covid-19 in Limpopo

The recovery rate of the province is currently at 94,3%. Here is a breakdown per district and municipality

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 37 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 13 251 of which 12 497 people have recovered. The number of active cases in the province is 552.

The Limpopo Health Department said no deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours; 202 people have died from the virus in the province.

Polokwane recorded the most new cases (8) followed by Makhado (6), while Thabazimbi, Greater Tzaneen and Fetakgomo/Tubatse each had four new cases.

Vhembe was the district that recorded the majority of new cases (11) while Capricorn had nine new cases, Sekhukhune had seven new cases, Mopani had six new cases and Waterberg had four new cases.

Thus far, 83 425 tests have been conducted of which 41 175 were done by the public sector and 42 250 were done by the private sector.
