925 active cases of Covid-19 in Limpopo

Eight more people have died in the province while the recovery rate is currently at 91%. See a breakdown per district and municipality here

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 93 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 12 763 of which 11 659 people have recovered.

The number of active cases in the province is 925. The Limpopo Health Department said eight more people have died from the virus since 24 August, bringing the death toll in the province to 179.

Polokwane recorded the most new cases (23) followed by Fetakgomo/Tubatse (13) and Collins Chabane (8).

Capricorn was the district that recorded the majority of new cases (27) while Vhembe had 19 new cases, Sekhukhune had 18 new cases, Waterberg had 15 new cases and Mopani had 14 new cases.

Thus far, 80 023 tests have been conducted of which 40 686 were done by the public sector and 39 337 were done by the private sector.
