32 more Covid-19 deaths in Limpopo

According to the Limpopo Department of Health, 10 283 people have recovered from the virus

LIMPOPO – The Limpopo Department of Health confirmed that 32 more people have died from Covid-19 in the province. This brings the death toll to 159 people.

According to a statement released by the department, 10 283 people have recovered from the virus while there are currently 978 active cases.

The province saw an increase of 232 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 11 420 cumulative cases.

Capricorn district recorded the most new cases (86), while Mopani had 49 new cases, Sekhukhune had 47 new cases, Vhembe had 34 new cases and Waterberg had 16 new cases. The most new cases were recorded in Polokwane (60) followed by Fetakgomo/Tubatse (20) and Makhado (19).

Thus far, 72 333 tests have been conducted of which 37 043 were done by the public sector and 35 290 were done by the private sector.
