Covid-19 recoveries stand at 417 200  

South Africa has recorded 3 755 new cases in the last 24 hours

According to the National Department of Health, 563 598 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in South Africa with 3 755 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.

Regrettably, 213 new Covid-19 related deaths were recorded: 57 from the Eastern Cape, 39 from Gauteng, 11 from Kwa-Zulu Natal, 64 from the Free State, 10 from Mpumalanga, 30 from the Western Cape and 2 from Northern Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 10 621.

The recovery rate stands at 74% and the total number of tests conducted to date is 3 267 494 with 16 911 new tests conducted since the last report.
