315 more Covid-19 cases recorded in Limpopo

The most new cases were recorded in Polokwane.

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 315 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 8 527 of which 5 408 people have recovered.

The Limpopo Health Department said no deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours; 67 people have died from the virus in the province.

Polokwane recorded the most new cases (74) followed by the Elias Motsoaledi Municipality (34) and Greater Tzaneen (33).

Capricorn was the district that recorded the majority of new cases (89) while Sekhukhune had 75 new cases, Waterberg and Mopani had 58 each and Vhembe had 35 new cases.

Thus far, 61 482 tests have been conducted of which 32 072 were done by the public sector and 29 410 were done by the private sector.
