100 new Covid-19 cases in Polokwane

No deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 305 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and currently stands at 7 389 cases, 4 723 recoveries and 3 049 active cases.

The Capricorn district recorded the majority of new cases (110), with 100 being reported in Polokwane, four in Blouberg and three each in Lepelle-Nkumpi and Molemole.

The Mopani and Waterberg districts recorded 55 new cases each while Vhembe had 41 new cases and Sekhukhune had 34 new cases.

The Limpopo Health Department said no deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours; 67 people have died from the virus in the province.

Thus far, 58 793 tests have been conducted of which 30 751 were done by the public sector and 28 042 were done by the private sector.
