Another teen reported missing in Limpopo

Five teenagers of around the same age have gone missing in the province in the space of two and half weeks.

LIMPOPO – The police have launched a search operation for a teenager who was reported missing.

The latest missing victim, 14-year-old Choice Shumbambhini is one of five teenagers who went missing from their homes over a period of two and half weeks.

Shumbambhini, from the Sekororo area in Mahlomelong village outsdie Tzaneen, was last seen on 9 July at around 10:00 after she left home to deliver food to her brother at a school nearby. She never returned home and she was reported missing at the Maake Police Station.

She was last seen wearing a pink dress, grey jersey, yellow head wrap (doek) and purple shoes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact Lt Col Hanyani Mathebula at 082 414 3309 or Sergeant Khensani Sithole at 082 348 3240.

In the Lebowakgomo policing area, police are still searching for Keneilwe Salome Mmaboyane and Tokollo Mehlape, both 14 years old.

Mmaboyane, from Unit S in Lebowakgomo phase 1 was last seen by her guardian on 6 July and Mehlape, a learner at Derek Kobe Secondary School, was last seen by his father on 8 July.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of either of the victims, can contact WO Leolo at 084 039 9671.

14-year-old Maria Mashaba.

In Mahwelereng, the police are still looking for the 14-year-old Maria Mashaba, from Ga-Madiba village outside Mokopane. A day after her disappearance she contacted her mother to let her know she was on her way home but never arrived. Anyone who knows of her whereabouts is urged to contact Cpt Mallela at 071 678 3305.

 

13-year-old Mulaudzi Sandra Takalani.

The 13-year-old Mulaudzi Sandra Takalani from Itsani village in Thohyandou, was last seen by her mother on 27 June. She had left her home to go to a friend’s residence. She did not reach her destination and has since disappeared. Anyone who knows of her whereabouts can contact Sgt Muanalo at 073 265 0420 or (015) 963 8037.

Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo says in each incident the police conducted search operations at the families, relatives, friends of each missing child, with no success. The police advises anyone who can assist them in locating either of the missing persons, to contact the 24-hour Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.

Police investigations into the disappearances of all these teenagers are still underway.
