Radio newsreader in running for award

Rhandzu Chauke said the nomination in itself is a great reward

LIMPOPO – Radio presenter and newsreader, Rhandzu Chauke of Mala FM has been nominated for the Black Entertainment Awards (BEA) in the category of best newsreader.

The planned date for the ceremony is 1 August. She was elated upon hearing of her nomination.

“This nomination will motivate me and other young people who hail from the dusty streets of rural areas, as it’s always possible as long as a person has a vision and works hard despite your background.”She started her radio journey at the community radio station Mala FM in 2018. “The road to being a good newsreader or radio presenter is not as easy as it sounds. One needs to work hard and be patient,” she added.

Mala FM station Manager, Tatana Vukeya applauded her for being nominated for the award and described her as a hard worker.
