Covid-19 cases increase by 724 to 12 074

To date, the country has seen 4 745 recoveries

South Africa’s Covid-19 cases have increased by 724 to 12 074. This was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday.

To date, the country has seen 4 745 recoveries, while 13 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number to 219.

A total of 386 352 tests have been conducted with 16 655 tests done in the last 24 hours.

The Western Cape accounted for 608 of the new infections, followed by Gauteng with 61 cases.

The Eastern Cape recorded 30 new cases, Kwa-Zulu Natal 19 and Mpumalanga three.
