The championships was held at the Terra Topia Dirt Bike Club in Gauteng last weekend.

“The 2014 season was very successful,” said Jackman, who raced with a Kawasaki KXF 450. He secured four first places and two second places throughout the year.

Thanks to his successes in the first six races of the championships, Jackman already had a 50 point lead prior to the final race.

“I won the first heat, and then on the second last lap of the second heat, my bike broke down while I was in the lead,” Jackman explained.

Jackman was still at the top of the leader board despite the mechanical setback he encountered during the seventh race.

“I am very lucky that the championships did not come down to the wire,” he added.
