[WATCH] Health Department encourages social distancing

The department has deployed teams to conduct Coronavirus in-service training with employees and managers at various industries and shops in the city.

POLOKWANE – ‘Social distancing’ is a phrase which has recently been used a lot due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Various organisations and governments encourage people to make use of social distancing to curb the spread of the virus.

Social distancing entails one to stay at least one metre away from another person, especially when they cough or sneeze. With this in mind, Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba dispatched health promotion teams to conduct Coronavirus in-service training with employees and managers at various industries and shops in the city.

According to Ramathuba’s Spokesperson, Thilivhali Muavha, the MEC is proud to observe people’s adherence to the social distance of at least one meter.

“We encourage everyone in the business sector to emulate this positive steps by Makro Polokwane.”
