Police equipment confiscated during arrest

The origin of the police equipment, as well as the firearm are being investigated

LIMPOPO – The police have arrested five suspects from Tembisa, who were allegedly on their way to commit house robbery in the Sekhukhune area on Wednesday evening.

According to Provincial Police Spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, during the arrest, a police uniform, reflector jackets, blue lights and siren, as well as an unlicensed firearm and ammunition were confiscated.

The origin of the police equipment, as well as the firearm are being investigated, she said.

The suspects are due to appear in the Sekhukhune Magistrates’ Court on Friday on charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and impersonating a police officer.
