Limpopo artists dominate Ingoma nominations

They have been nominated for an Independent National Gospel Music Awards (Ingoma)

LIMPOPO – Gospel giants, Patience Ntuli (37), and Pastor Lungi Ndala (33) are multiple award winning gospel artists who recognise each other as siblings in Christ and in song.

They have been nominated for an Independent National Gospel Music Awards (Ingoma).

Ntuli was nominated for four awards: Best Artist Website, Best Female Artist, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year, while Ndala has been nominated in eight categories including Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Male Artist and Best Praise Album.

“I was humbled by the response from the media as the song received a lot of airplay. I am competing against artists who have full albums. I entered for five categories and was nominated for four,” Ntuli explained.

Ntuli met Ndala on Facebook when he was promoting his live DVD recording. They became friends and Ntuli eventually went to his church, God Reigns, in Midrand when he hosted an Ingoma nomination party.

She invited the energetic young pastor to be part of her own DVD experience. “We sang three Xitsonga hymns together and I asked Pastor Lungi to do an altar call after which we invited many souls to commit to a life in Christ”.

“It was God’s design that I met sis Patience. “The fearless tour” will take off in September this year and I will visit all the provinces,” he says. Ntuli plans to work hard at her job, to continue being a great mother and wife, and to complete an album which will be released later in 2016.
