He writes to assist other young people

Radzilani Mulisawanga (22) loves that Limpopo has many stars, but feels their true potential remains hidden

LIMPOPO – Mulisawanga is the author of a book titled, Know What You’re Living For, which was published in July 2015

He was born and raised in Muledane village, Thohoyandou in Venda and attended school in Mvudi Primary School before moving on to Thohoyandou Secondary School.

He says he was born with a character of leadership and becoming an author has been a goal since childhood.

“I was good at writing essays and doing oral presentations,” he says.

He eventually moved to Gauteng to further his studies at the Tshwane North College.

“There I started to realise my purpose. Lecturers even advised me to consider writing and motivating people as a source of income.”

With his passion for writing, he visited libraries regularly, spending most of his time writing drafts and hoping they would be published one day.

“Driven by the potential to inspire the youth, I realised the need for starting my own foundation and the Love to Children Foundation was born.”

He says he believes in the saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and he is looking forward to better his village.

He is also working on a second motivational book, entitled Be a Student Everywhere in Life, which he plans to officially launch later this month.

“I’m also working on my first Venda drama entitled Zwire Fhano Shangoni. Writing is in my blood and I spend sleepless nights writing and reading books. I have also initiated a foundation called Student Focus Foundation, which aims to empower students in rural areas,” he says.
