Farm worker attacked during robbery

LIMPOPO – According to police spokesperson, Lt Col Malesela Ledwaba, the robbers tied up the farm worker and stole a tractor, generator, spanners and a cell phone.

“The incident was only discovered this morning by one of the farm workers. The victim was not injured,” said Ledwaba.

A search for the suspects has ensued, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the nearest police station.

Still in Mookgophong, a chain  was also robbed this morning.

Ledwaba said two armed suspects stole 345 cell phones from the store, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

They fled in a white vehicle, he said.

“A search for the suspects has been launched.”
